BGS Action Items
- Send your letter of verification to bgs@saonet.ucla.edu. If you need assistance obtaining your verification please connect directly with the following office
- California Foster Care Ombudsperson’s Office at 1-877-846-1602 or fosteryouthhelp@dss.ca.gov
- Child Welfare Department in the county of Los Angeles at (213)351-0153
- Fill out our virtual application
- Attend our BGS/MKV new student orientation (details coming soon)
- Consider a summer program such as FSP or TSP
- Explore campus programs such as: BRC, BBRC, CPO, First2Go, Transfer Center, and Veteran's Center
- Apply for CalFresh
- RSVP for Bruin Day

- Transfer process and questions: Center for Community College Partners (CCCP)
- For admissions relation questions: Admissions Office

*Note: Although students can apply to be a part of the Guardian Scholars program as early as the SIR date, the BGS program cannot offer services to students until after they have officially started taking courses at UCLA. BGS does not have authority over the admissions or financial aid process.
